My Story
Dominic was raised in Mount Laurel, NJ. His interest in chemistry began in high school where he took AP Chemistry. Initially wanting to become a chemical engineer, his academic career took a turn when he was introduced to Organic Chemistry. This newfound interest in Organic Chemistry led to his joining of the Moura-Letts lab during his junior year where as an undergraduate, where he was given the opportunity to lead a project focusing on the development of cannabinoid scaffolds. Now a graduate student seeking his PhD under the guidance of Dr. Moura-Letts, he is leading the development of new chemical pathways that lead to synthesis of diazepines and benzodiazepines. Outside of the lab, Dominic spends his free time reading, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
