My Story

Alyssa was born and raised in Lumberton, New Jersey. She is currently double majoring in Biological Science and Biochemistry, with a minor in Neuroscience. Alyssa fell in love with the intricacies of organic chemistry while taking organic chemistry classes here at Rowan, which sparked her passion for organic chemistry and led her to join the Moura-Letts Lab during her junior year! In the lab, she is currently working on developing synthetic methods for biologically relevant molecules via transition metal catalysis. Alyssa’s research interests coincide with her passion for medicine, and she ultimately plans to further explore the intersection between these two disciplines as she embarks on her medical school journey. Outside of the lab, Alyssa enjoys going on walks with friends, going to the beach, and hanging out at Phillies games.
